How engagements work

Most engagements start the same way: a short, no-obligation call about the problem. If there's a fit, we agree a scope that suits your stage; if there isn't, we'll say so. Three shapes cover almost everything.

Fractional

Senior CTO/CISO leadership, part-time and ongoing.

Typically 1–2 days a week, rolling monthly

  • Technology or security strategy and roadmap
  • Architecture, delivery and vendor decisions
  • Hiring and team development
  • Board / exec and customer-facing reporting

Project & due diligence

A scoped piece of work with a clear deliverable.

Fixed scope, usually 2–6 weeks

  • Technical due diligence for investment or acquisition
  • Security review, certification readiness (Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001, SOC 2)
  • Architecture or AI-readiness assessment
  • Findings, recommendations and a readout session

Advisory

A senior sounding board, a few hours a month.

A few hours a month, rolling

  • On-call senior technology / security counsel
  • Monthly review and priorities check-in
  • Async questions between sessions
  • An experienced second opinion when it matters
